Mission & Vision

Go therefore and make disciples...

The Mission

Our Biblical mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

The Vision

What is our vision for doing that?
We seek to help people learn about and experience God’s presence. A living relationship with Jesus Christ brings forgiveness and new life. The ministry of the congregation seeks to extend the unconditional love of Christ to everyone. We do this through worship experiences (in-person and online), small groups and classes for all ages, and an emphasis on missional service.
We are a people of blessing in our local community through partnerships with our local schools (A. Brian Merry Elementary, Lake Forest Hills Elementary, Tutt Middle, Langford Middle, Westside High), Joseph M. Still Burn Center, University Hospital, Prayer Quilt Ministry, GriefShare, Safe Homes for abused women and their children, Family Promise, Master’s Table, Downtown Cooperative Church Ministries, and Augusta Urban Ministries.
Internationally, we are engaged in God’s activity in Nicaragua and Lebanon and around the world through the worldwide ministries of the United Methodist Church.

Disciples grow in the faith and become more and more Christ-like through consistent and faithful worship, prayer, Bible study, service and generosity.
