Bible Study and Adult Sunday School
The Christian life is a journey. We encourage adults to continue in this journey by growing spiritually through participation in Sunday School, Disciple Bible Studies, and other short-term Bible and topical studies. Take this link to learn more.
Aldersgate UMC is a very mission-oriented church serving the local community and the world through their time, their talents, and their resources. We send volunteers on mission trips to various parts of Georgia, the southeast, and overseas. Some of our members have served as far away as Honduras, Nicaragua, and Africa. Click here to learn more.
Our music ministry has many opportunities for adults to use their talents. Please refer to the music section of our webpage.
The men of Aldersgate enjoy fellowship and mission throughout the year.
Please come join us! Through our circles, Aldersgate women meet together to study, pray, serve the community, nurture each other and enjoy food and fellowship. Retreats are always inspirational and fun. Organized fundraisers help raise money to support local missions and other worthwhile projects of our women's ministry. Read our circle descriptions for the one that is right for you.
Our senior ministry is available for all adults ages 55 and older. During monthly meetings, we enjoy fellowship with one another and the opportunity to learn about topics of interest from various speakers and presenters. The group takes informative and entertaining trips during the year. Both day and night trips are planned.
Aldersgate fields sports teams for local church leagues as interest allows and also has a very active quilting group. These ladies work on charitable projects for others including prayer quilts (contact the church office for more info).
Congregational Care Ministry
We have a variety of ministries available that allow us to serve Jesus by serving others who have been hospitalized, are in nursing homes, or who are homebound.
Our Communion Ministry delivers Communion to members who are unable to attend a church service. Our Flower Ministry and Casserole Ministry share the love of Christ by delivering flowers and food to church members and other individuals who are in need.
We also have a Bereavement Ministry that provides for the needs of families who have experienced a death.
At Aldersgate, we practice hospitality in many ways including visiting first-time visitors. Our Visitation ministry uses friendly folk who like to meet new people.
To inquire about any of these ministries, contact the church office or the member of Church Council associated with that area.
